چکیده
Aquaculture wastewater is suitable for algal growth especially due to its ammonium and nitrate content. Therefore, the can be utilized after a few amendments biomass production recovery of valuable pigments. In present study, aquaculture discharged from Pangasius culture system was commercially cyanobacterium Spirulina (Arthrospira) platensis with an aim extract economically important pigments (phycocyanin carotenoids). The amended nutrients used as medium S. platensis. removal effluent-based during period also monitored. A significant increase in rate (0.21 day?1), productivity (23.65 mg g?1 lowest doubling time (3.37 days) noticed decontaminated wastewater. produced showed phycocyanin content (132.45 DW), total carotenoids (1.26 protein (630 DW). nutrient up 97.34% NH+4-N, 71.93% NO?3-N, 95.90% NO?2-N, 93.39% PO43?-P. report provides piece convincing evidence that candidate species utilization cost-effective improvement quality through phycoremediation.

Bioethanol Production by Carbohydrate-Enriched Biomass of Arthrospira (Spirulina) platensis
In the present study the potential of bioethanol production using carbohydrate-enriched biomass of the cyanobacterium Arthrospira platensis was studied. For the saccharification of the carbohydrate-enriched biomass, four acids (H2SO4, HNO3, HCl and H3PO4) were investigated. Each acid were used at four concentrations, 2.5 N, 1 N, 0.5 N and 0.25 N, and for each acid concentration the saccharifica...

A filamentous non-N(2)-fixing cyanobacterium, Arthrospira (Spirulina) platensis, is an important organism for industrial applications and as a food supply. Almost the complete genome of A. platensis NIES-39 was determined in this study. The genome structure of A. platensis is estimated to be a single, circular chromosome of 6.8 Mb, based on optical mapping. Annotation of this 6.7 Mb sequence yi...
